It's an old school shop with a quality selection of meats, prepared foods and pantry staples. Staff is accommodating and knowledgeable. In the park slope/Windsor area, it's the best for sure.
Our go to spot for freshly cut bacon. Best bacon near us. We always get it for our guest or when we are going to visit family. Everyone loves it. They also have pre-made homemade pasta sauce and frozen pasta. We always get the raviolis and lamb sauce. So delicious!

I have lived in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood for thirty years. I have to say that throughout these years United is my go-to place for meats. They have excellent food and will go out of their way to help you get what you want. I'm a writer and to express my appreciation for all that they have done and provide over a Christmas holiday I gave the staff autographed copies of one of my books.
The butchers are friendly and knowledgeable, they go and check in the back if something is not in the case! Can buy chicken wings by the pound, and the cold-cut selection is great; I used to go to another popular Italian shop in slope beginning with R, but lately they make me feel like they're doing me a favor to cut salami... Also good selection of olive oil and canned tomatoes, along with many brands of pasta.
One stop shop. A gem of a butcher with kick ass prepared foods. They even have a great selection of dry goods. The real deal!
Where shall I begin? The store is immaculate, the staff courteous and efficient. Their prepared foods are fresh, excellent, especially their jarred marinara sauce, chicken parm, MEATBALLS, and salads. They have a varied selection of imported, fresh and grocery items, including my favorite pasta, Del Verde. After having shopped here for decades, my mobility is impaired so I rely on home delivery which is easy, accurate and prompt. There are certain stores I feel are a privilege to patronize. United is one.
Quality meats in a neighborhood setting. Always helpful. The prepared Italian dishes, especially the eggplant meatballs, are delicious.
